I scrounged around for the parts, bought nothing but the fish and we are off.
Had the choice between this large round tub, an old square rinse tub or an oval tub.
I wanted something as big as I could make it so this tub won.
Next came the pump.
I have a small fountain for the house but our living room is so small it is too loud to use.
At first I tried the copper tube but the pump wasn't powerful enough to get any water up it.
The flower pot will keep the pump pinned to the back wall of the tub and support the rock for the waterfall.
The flower pot supports the flat rock that makes the waterfall.
The round rock is for decoration.
Copper tube removed and replaced with flexible tubing. Pump is small so it does not have the power to pump the amount of water I was hoping for. Found a cheap one on ebay.
Replaced the flower pot with a taller one.
The round rock now serves as a hold for the tubing.
Added some little goldfish that my daughter uses as feed for her turtles.
Once it gets warm enough going to move two ornamental goldfish I have out to it.
Got some free duckweed from the pet store.
Going to add dwarf cattails and waterlilies.
Tada, a porch pond.
